Getting started

Sending your first document request

A "document request" is one line on a borrower's checklist — say, "2024 Personal tax return."

Requests are created three ways: - From a template when you create the file (the usual way — templates carry 12–22 items each). - Ad-hoc, any time: open the file and click "Ask [name] for another document." It appears on their checklist instantly, even after they've submitted everything else. - From an unsorted upload: if a borrower sends something you didn't ask for, "New item from this…" turns it into a checklist item with the document already attached.

Each request belongs to one person (borrower, co-borrower, guarantor, or accountant) and only appears on that person's checklist. Statuses flow: Waiting → Received → In review → Accepted (or Rejected with a reason the borrower sees).
