Getting started: your first loan file in 5 minutes

LendPacket collects borrower documents for you: you create a loan file, borrowers get a secure link (no login), the AI checks every upload, and reminders chase what's missing.

The 5-minute first file

  1. Go to Files → New loan file.
  2. Pick the loan type — the right document template loads automatically (SBA 7(a), 504, Express, Conventional, FHA, VA, or Non-QM).
  3. Answer a few dropdown questions (entity type, startup or not, buying real estate…) — the checklist trims itself to only what applies.
  4. Add the borrower's name and email; add co-borrowers, guarantors, or their CPA if needed.
  5. Review the checklist and click create. Tick "Email the invites now" and everyone gets their personal upload link immediately.

That's it — the dashboard tracks everything from here. Tip: for your very first run, use your own email as the borrower and open the link on your phone to see exactly what borrowers see. A sample demo file is pre-loaded in new accounts so you can poke around safely.
