Templates: the 7 built-ins and how they work

A template is a reusable document checklist. LendPacket ships seven, built from real underwriting practice: SBA 7(a) (22 items), SBA 504 (22), SBA Express (14), Conventional (16), FHA (18), VA (20), and Non-QM bank-statement (12).

Every item carries a borrower-friendly description ("Your complete personal federal tax return — all pages and schedules, from your tax software or accountant"), a default assignee (borrower/guarantor/accountant), a freshness rule where appropriate, and conditions (see the conditions article).

Built-ins are read-only — Clone one to make your firm's editable copy. Creating a loan file COPIES the template's items onto the file, so editing a template later never rewrites files already in flight.
