Templates

Building and editing your own templates

Templates → clone a built-in (or "New blank template"), then:

  • Add items with a name, category, plain-language borrower description, required/optional, default assignee, freshness days, and an optional condition.
  • Reorder with the arrows — borrowers see your order.
  • Set as firm default for a loan type: your team's new files of that type start from your version automatically (one default per loan type).
  • Delete removes the template only — files created from it are untouched (they copied their items).

Admins and loan officers can edit templates; processors and viewers can look but not touch. Write borrower descriptions like you'd explain on the phone: where the document lives, which pages to include, whether a phone photo is fine.
